Venture through randomly generated mountains, dry deserts and open oceans while finding different animals, plants and structures. Gather pears from trees and mine stone and metal to create tools, weapons and armor which allow you to survive and eventually thrive. Explore unknown territory with loot in containers, seemingly left behind. But as you stare towards the horizon, you can't help but wonder: Are you truly alone in this vast world?
Play the game without any hard set objective and feel free to persue your heart's desires like building castles, planting trees and brutally slaughtering every single vulture on sight for personal revenge (they are so annoying). Instead, you could try to complete the game's achievements or simply set your own. Once you have mastered the game, you can try various game modes like being a vicious vampire or facing cardiac problems.
Xploraton was created in a timespan of over two years! This included some breaks to work on other small projects, but it is still an unimaginably long time. This can be led back to my annoying insistence to create nearly everything myself, from models and textures to sound effects and music. No external assets were used apart from shaders (coding those is best left to wizards). The result is something which feels very personal and handpicked. The amount of knowledge I obtained in different areas is astounding and I don't regret the time spent.
