Downloading the game for Windows downloads a setup executable. Running this will guide you through the installation process. Make sure to check your "Downloads" folder
If the Windows Defender throws a warning, you can safely ignore it by clicking on "More info" and then "Run anyway" to proceed with the installation process
Downloading the game for Mac downloads a .dmg file. Open the file and drag the application icon into the applications folder to install the game
If Gatekeeper blocks the application you can start it anyway by first using control-click or right click and selecting "Open". Then an option may appear to open the application anyway
If this option does not appear you will have to go to System Settings > Privacy and Security to allow the application. Scroll down to the "Security" section and locate a message saying the game was blocked and click "Open Anyway" next to the message
Downloading the game for Linux downloads a .tar.gz file. This file will have to be extracted either by right-click > "Extract Here" or running the command >> tar -xzvf filename.tar.gz << . This will give you the game files and a markdown file containing additional help for installing the game
If the executable does not launch, you may have to run >> chmod +x "gamename.x86_64" << to give the executable the right permissions. Alternatively, you can right-click the file, go to properties and check "Allow executing file as program"
You will have to install common graphics/audio packages for your distribution to play the game
Most modern operating systems include security measures to prevent the installation of potentially malicious executables. Since I do not have the financial means to become an indentified developer, downloaded games will get blocked at first depending on your operating system and distribution
My games are generally light in violence and thus suitable for most people. However, the games "Minotur - RotK" and "Xploraton" include some blood particles and fantasy violence. Additionally, some parts of my games may be challenging for younger or inexperienced players
My downloadable games do not include in-app purchases or content behind paywalls. The only payment required is the base game price if present. The games "DOOD ADVENTURES" and "Minotur - RotK" are completely free to install and play
